This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Testing season can be overwhelming for students, but with the right support, they can approach it with confidence and a positive mindset. My goal is to create a motivating and encouraging environment where students feel prepared to tackle the CAST test with determination. A little incentive can go a long way in boosting their morale and helping them put forth their best effort.
Many of my students face challenges beyond the classroom, and having a simple reward can make a big difference in their attitude toward testing.
A small treat, such as a piece of candy or a snack, serves as a token of encouragement, reinforcing their hard work and determination. These rewards will not only celebrate their effort but also create a supportive and uplifting environment during testing days.
In the STEM Center, I strive to make every student feel comfortable, safe, and accepted—a place where they can explore, learn, and grow without fear of failure. I want them to know that their hard work is seen, their efforts are valued, and that they are capable of achieving great things. With your support, I can continue to make my STEM Center a place where students feel encouraged, valued, and ready to take on any challenge—including testing.
