Crunch Time Journalism Supplies!

My Project

My journalism students have been working hard chipping away at our school's 90's themed yearbook and learning about design, marketing, and writing for publication! They are so excited about our theme and love learning photography and taking photos of events at school. We're getting down to crunch time and entering our busiest season yearbook, trying to get the bulk of our sports photos taken, working on marketing plans (which involve posterboard and plenty of erasing and rewriting plans on my whiteboard), and designing the bulk of the yearbook, and we're definitely in need of a restock on certain supplies.

My students have absolutely blown me away this year.

For example, last semester we did a supply drive for a local animal shelter. We delivered the supplies and dropped them off to the shelter, and took photos of adoptable animals for a service learning project. My students were so excited to give back to the community that has given so much to us. They have the biggest hearts, and I want to continue to provide them with the best possible program.
