Cross-Curricular Hands on Learning

Help me give my students the opportunity to have books in their hands to complete individual reading and group projects. Our Language Arts books are a limited resource and Social Studies books are outdated!

My Project

During the COVID 19 disruptions of our academic years, many of my students suffered from a lack of access to resources in school and in the libraries. As a teacher of both ELA/Reading and Social Studies classes, I have to prioritize my purchases of materials out of my own resources. I struggle to provide books for both of these common core classes, and our school no longer issues individual student computers.

I purchased three sets of books for more than $400 on my own this summer to fill the void for current material that is relatable and also spans the reading gap that developed during COVID.

I want to put books in their hands. Novels to share. History references for group projects. Classic material that inspires learning!
