This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In 2022, our boys' and girls' cross-country teams qualified for the State Championships for the first time since 2009. We are looking to make big strides next season, but we need equipment to keep us healthy and injury-free and incentives to motivate the athletes toward personal records in the future.
Your donation will enable us to reach our potential because running is becoming a culture at our school but it has not yet become ingrained in the student population.
The medals will be used as an incentive program for summer running, thus increasing motivation. The cooling towels will help keep the runners from overheating when we train in July and August in 100+ degree heat. And the foam rollers will improve our warmup process, thus reducing the number of injuries which will be instrumental in our continued success and personal growth.
