Critters and Exploration

My students need Lakeshore magnifiers, discovery kits and a butterfly garden to explore using hands-on experiences.

My Students

My students come from a variety of backgrounds. Teaching in a lower income area, some of my students have had preschool while others have had no educational exposure at all. Each student comes to school excited and ready to learn.

My goal is to provide my students with the best possible educational experiences.

My students enjoy hands-on learning experiences and I strive to provide them with as many opportunities to explore learning and their environment on a daily basis.

My Project

The funds toward this project will provide materials for my students to explore butterflies and insects. With the butterfly garden, students will be able to watch the process that a caterpillar goes through to become a butterfly. They will also be able to use magnifying glasses to explore insects and other natural objects throughout the year.

With the addition of these materials to our classroom, my students will have access to science on a daily basis.

My goal is to provide students with a science area in the room that they can use throughout the school year giving them a more diverse learning experience.
