I am a preschool teacher in Alabama. Many of my students come from low SES backgrounds and face many hardships in life. Despite having all of these varying challenges, they arrive to school full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what the day has in store for them. They are inquisitive, bright, and love to learn.
My students have vast aspirations and they love to explore, discover, and learn new things everyday.
They are future doctors, lawyers, teachers, and scientists; whatever they want to be! I instill in them that they are the future leaders of the world, and I try to do everything in my power to prepare them for success by giving them a solid academic foundation to build from so that they can become ALL that they can be.
My Project
“Coding is the career of the future. Naturally, it's best learned from robots. Today, coding is a revered job skill. But tomorrow, the ability to code will be expected of nearly everyone. And like any language, coding is best learned while young.”
Dash & Dot are real robots that will teach my students fundamental skills like coding and problem solving while they play.
Dash and Dot are operated via apps that require use of an iPad. They will need iPads to utilize the accompanying apps that will teach my kiddos how to code to make Dash sing, dance and navigate all around the classroom.
My students are in preschool so they will need a durable case to ensure the iPads do not get damaged while the students are learning to code and manipulate Dash and Dot Robots.
