it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
After 15 years of teaching, I have discovered that almost all students struggle with their critical thinking skills. It has been becoming more and more difficult to have students think. It seems with the increasing screen time many children want answers immediately and will not take the time to think through and progressively struggle through a game, question, or lesson. The books and games I am requesting will allow my students to have fun while thinking outside of the box.
Thinking creatively and critically seems to be a dying art.
I want to bring it back to ensure all of my students will be successful when they move on to high school. So many of the students think that what they see on TikTok is the true news and only facts. If they have the critical thinking skills they will be able to see the world through a much more rounded lens and make more sense of the news overload.
Being able to be creative and think outside the box is how all new inventions and businesses get started. I want my students to be able to change the world and not be stuck in their own small world. The books with included activities this project includes will provide me the resources to help my students achieve their very best from life.
