My Project
Gifted classrooms were created to target process skills that students do not have opportunities to grow in the regular education classroom. These process skills include thinking skills, creativity, information literacy, success skills, affective skills, and communication skills. We grow these process skills by providing brain building exercises through things like brain teasers and brain games.
Through the use of the Boggle, Scrabble, and chess sets, my students will gain opportunities to address all of these process skills, as well as learn how to play classic games.
Once students have learned the games, they will compete with each other, as well as other students, furthering their skill level.
