This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Manipulatives are an important part of the early childhood curriculum because children can use them to practice a wide variety of skills. With manipulative play, the children play with things that can move, screw, click together, order or make patterns. Storage bins help the children learn to sort and keep each manipulative set separated.
Manipulative play encourages the students to learn decision making, analyze and solve problems while developing fine motor skills and coordination.
I can support the students by utilizing these manipulatives with curriculum themes and asking questions that stimulate the children's thinking.
I have bright students, and each have their own way of learning. These manipulatives will help my students to learn to control their actions and gain confidence in manipulating objects to suit their needs.
