Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
All of my neurodivergent students are motivated and excited to learn. They come to my room every day ready to learn new skills and reinforce old ones. Some students need extra repetition, and some students need novel ways of learning a new concept.
Having a gift card to Teachers Pay Teachers and supplies for much-needed breaks will help me to purchase teacher-designed curriculum that will meet all my students’ needs, while also giving them something to look forward to.
My students are in grades 3-5, with a wide range of learning goals. I need to address those goals daily with a variety of lessons and content that I can purchase on TPT.
And after a concentrated amount of time focusing on a lesson, my students need a break! So the second part of my ask is for kinetic sand and play-dough that my students can use for a short break time before getting back to work. This will help them stay focused during the critical parts of the lesson. I have found that this is a very effective way for my students to learn.
