This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Can you recall being bullied as a child in elementary and not even know what was happening? I'd like to educate my students on appropriate way of handling it, if they are faced with it. And, you can help me do it.

I teach six and seven year old children in first grade.

They are such an amazing group of students that are so eager to please. They live in a high poverty stricken neighborhood that is situated in a Title I school district. And, most of them qualify and receive free or reduce lunch. However, this doesn't hinder them from working hard and being leaders in school.

My Project

The selected books will help enforce the lasting affects bullying can cause for young children and the goal is to prevent it from happening. With the cricut, cartridge and blades, I will be able to cut-out positive phrases and display them throughout the school. The students will learn how to treat each other with respect and value the feelings of their friends and adults. I'd like to have a positive learning environment for all the students in the school since it is a "Leader in Me" school.

By donating to this project, you will be a contributor in helping children become leaders in society.

The school environment is the only safe and positive place some of my students have; so I'd like to impact them while they are in school with an anti-bullying environment. Thank you in advance for making a difference in the life of a group of children that deserve what every child should have. A chance of being a kid.
