Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a teacher in a low-income school district, I want to provide all I can for my students to have the most memorable educational experience. Our students come from very diverse backgrounds. We have over 1,100 students in our school over 75% of which receive free or reduced-price lunch. Over half of our student body is Latino and we have an extremely large ESL population. The students who attend my school are hard-working and even though most of our students come from economically disadvantaged households this does not stop them from giving their best each and every day.
Giving my students the opportunity to create products on the Cricut machine will give them a sense of pride and skills that will last a lifetime.
Thanks to DonorChoose we are so fortunate to have a Cricut in our classroom. I am requesting a heat machine, adhesive vinyl, and cardstock so that my students can let their imaginations run wild. These supplies will be used in my classroom and all over the school to help make our learning environment and school home more positive, engaging, and welcoming. The possibilities are truly endless.
These Cricut supplies will enable me to welcome my students to a beautiful, engaging, warm, loving, and inspiring space and teach them how to personalize items on their own. My students are such hard workers and caring children and I cannot wait to provide them with the opportunity to create. These supplies will help me create a beautiful space where children can learn and create while their imaginations run wild.
