My Project

Cricut isn't just about cutting paper; it's about unleashing the inner maker in every student. Imagine vibrant, personalized classroom walls adorned with student-designed learning aids, interactive bulletin boards with 3D elements, and custom labels that make organization a breeze. Suddenly, learning becomes a collaborative art project, where students take ownership of their environment and feel empowered to express themselves. Students can work together to design and create learning materials, share ideas, and troubleshoot challenges. A Cricut can be considered a valuable tool in a entrepreneurship class because it allows for creative, hands-on learning across multiple disciplines, enabling students to design and cut custom materials for projects that incorporate elements of science, engineering, art, and even math through precise measurements and design considerations; essentially, a Cricut can be used to bring a tangible element to various projects, fostering creativity and critical thinking skills while exploring different subject areas.

Our Cricut will be used to create personalized name vinyl logos for student laptops, custom-designed tee shirts, and student-designed interactive bulletin boards.

We currently borrow my personal Cricut for many of the student projects in the building but having another Cricut for students to use would be ideal. The process of designing and cutting with a Cricut promotes active learning and creativity with our students. Students can work with a wide range of materials like paper, cardstock, fabric, and iron-on vinyl, opening up possibilities for diverse projects. The only limits are their imaginations. Our school clubs will also use the Cricut to make items to sell as fundraisers.
