My students understand that what they do and say matters. They know their actions can make a difference. I have a very sweet bunch of kids who need an active, hands-on classroom.
I teach at a Title I school where some of my students face adversity such as poverty and attending multiple schools during their elementary years.
Many of our students participate in the free or reduced-price lunch program. Our goal is to expose all students to experiences that will foster critical thinking and the continued love of learning.
A Cricut would be an amazing asset to our classroom as it will help students personally design their own projects!
Having a Cricut in the classroom will also bring out the creativity in my students that will keep them engaged.
It will be so fun for them to see their ideas and customization come to life.
The Cricut, heat press, and accessories will allow students to create lettering and images that we can use for our student-centered lessons and projects. My students will be able to imagine, create and see their projects from start to finish using the Cricut machine. Students will get hands-on experiences of how their ideas come to fruition by using 21st-century skills. My goal is to engage all learners by fostering creativity through the use of technology. One project my students may engage in is to create items or materials that deal with real-world needs and economics. With these resources, my students can design wearable items such as masks or t-shirts that make a statement about what they've learned in any subject area. Not only will they have hands-on experiences with designing these items, but they will be able to make a finished product using the heat press.
With the Cricut Maker, vinyl, accessories, and heat-press, students will be active participants in their learning rather than sitting through a lecture on what could be.
