This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a Harrison teacher for over 15 years, I have seen our population and needs change many times over the years. Our students are now becoming more eager to use technology in creative ways to enhance their projects in all subject areas: ELA, Math, Science, the IB, etc. With the mainstream popularity of the Cricut cutting machines, more students are requesting access to technology that allows cutting of simple headings and even highly-intricate designs to bring their visions to life, and I’d love to foster that creativity by offering them after-school access to our classroom equipment! I plan to set up two machines for student use under direct teacher supervision and guidance.
