Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my school, we have an afterschool program. One of the choices is crafting but I want to take it a step further and add more to that choice by allowing students to create their own design and see it come to life. I have introduced them to a Cricut machine and they have begun to love using it. We have used vinyl to make lock boxes and picture frames but I want to introduce them into making clothing and accessories.

My students would love to make their own shirts for field trips to keep us safe and together!

It's important for me to allow my students to feel creative and that they can make whatever comes to their mind. A sublimation printer and other materials would help a lot to give students the chance to have something bright and colorful.
