Cricut Creations And Collaboration

My students need a Cricut machine in our room for creating exciting and engaging signs, name tags, art, quotes, large numbers/letters, and so much more.

My Students

Our school is an inner city Minneapolis school with rich cultural diversity; the greatest demographics being African American and Hmong. Often, my 5th graders come from homes with little access to technology and literature. The reading and math levels in my room range from 2nd grade through 7th grade. They are hardworking students with eager attitudes and a love for learning!

My purpose as a classroom teacher is to provide a warm, safe, and life-giving space for my students where they feel the invitation to step into the potential they were created and destined for.

The classroom is the safest place for many students and they deserve a warm welcoming environment.

My Project

I would like to get a tool to create consistently large letters and numbers to place the alphabet and number-line around the room for student reference. My goal is also to create engaging signs, art, and visuals to start the new school year strong and prepared with this quick and efficient tool.

The Cricut Maker will allow students to also bring their creations to life along with having name tag stickers on their belongings, cursive writing tracers of their names, and clear lettering for the classroom library.

This great machine will allow us to quickly write, cut, stencil, design, or fold different creations for the tables, the walls, the cabinets, and organization all around the room. Everything will be clearly labeled and visually appealing to get students to keep the attention in the room.
