This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This year has been a little different with the whole pandemic. Even though we had remote learning, my 24 kindergarten students are full of energy! Teaching a dual language classroom is not easy but seeing their progress from day 1, motivates me to keep working hard. The positive energy they bring into the classroom makes teaching two languages enjoyable because they are always willing to try out new things and are not afraid to make mistakes. They love to put what they learn in practice and parents are pleased with their progress. Parents try to do their best to be involved in their child’s education, but due to their economic hardships, they can only do so much.

Seeing how much my students are willing to put in the effort, I would like to give them the resources that they need to help them improve in both languages.

I am amazed of how this incredible group is always ready for a challenge and try to grow academically every day!

My Project

Students during these difficult times, need something encouraging and positive. With the cricut, I would be able to decorate the classroom to provide a fun and colorful learning space for them. The cricut will also help me label things around the classroom since kindergartners are visual learners.

With cricut, I would love for my students to come to a well decorated classroom that gives a warm welcome with encouraging signs.

It will help them understand that school is a fun place to learn.

Due to covid, my students have been learning from home. I would love to put up encouraging words around the classroom and make little gifts for them to take home when they return for in person. Every year, I can do something memorable for the students as well. Thank you for the support!
