Cricut Accessories and Storage Needed

My students need a variety of accessories and storage for our classroom Cricut. We also need a variety of paper, vinyl transfers, and iron-on transfers to make class t-shirts and decals.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The best and easiest way to describe my students is that they are survivors. My class is a dual language kindergarten classroom, and I am charged with teaching them Spanish, language arts, and math. I will have two classes, each consisting of 21 highly motivated and fully charged five-year-olds. My children and their families have been hit hard by Hurricane Harvey. Many of my families had to be evacuated, and our school sustained a lot of damage. We were teaching at a relocation site with the basics for 4 months. We cannot ask our parents for any type of supply after what they went through. My kids are happy to be back at their school, but we need some materials to replace what we lost during the hurricane. We hope these items would help my students adjust to yet another move and huge changes in their little lives.

My Project

We are lucky enough to have a classroom Cricut machine but we do not have anywhere to store the cartridges or booklets. If funded, we would have a binder, a cart, a storage box to place our different cartridges, and a rolling bag to transport it back and forth from school to home and vice versa. We would have animal print paper and an Animal Kingdom cartridge to use for our animal unit. We would have Kate and Nate’s ABC cartridge to make signs on sticker paper to make labels and signs in the classroom. We would be able to make our classroom t-shirts for field day with the iron on transfers and the Everyday Die Cut cartridge. We would be able to decorate our classroom with different types of frames with student work and/or pictures with the Elegant Edges cartridge and the variety of decal paper in this project. The stamping tags will allow me to engrave tags for my students or make some great gifts for mother’s day. The Cricut accessories would ensure that we have extra blades, mats, heat press transfer sheets, markers, a bag to put the tools in and all the items necessary to make a successful project from start to finish. The trimmer will allow me to cut the papers to the exact size needed. The scrapbook paper holders will hold the paper for the projects and keep everything neat and organized.

Every holiday or school event would be made more special with the materials in this project.
