My Project

A hallmark of a Montessori classroom is students creating projects in many different ways. My students love to create art and projects out of anything that they can get their hands on. Recently, we made and glazed pinch pots in our classroom, which they absolutely loved.

The joy of creating something with ones hands is an experience that I try to encourage every day within my classroom.

Help us get more glaze and pottery tools so that we can do even more projects with clay in our classroom. Students have also professed interest in making their own small sculptures which is where the model magic comes in. In the last two weeks of the year, I hope to have students screen print and then tie-dye their own shirts, which will serve as a permanent memento of our amazing school year!
