This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Many of my students had never worked with Perler beads before and now they love them! We use them during different holidays and when they need a brain break. I have also used them with my STEAM club and those students have loved using them as well. I have a handful of students that have now progressed to making their own pictures using the Perler beads.

Perler beads are materials that have helped my students follow a pattern and practice their dexterity skills.

They didn't like them at first because they were difficult but they are getting better and now enjoy creating with them.
