My Students
My students range from grades pre-K thru grade 5. They are full of life and love to socialize. This will be the first time in my building that these children will have a visual arts class. When they learned about it, everyone was excited! There are many talented students at my school who will have the opportunity now, to grow their abilities and engage in school in a whole new way.
Art gives children the chance to express themselves like no other subject can.
The skills learned in art also transfer to academic subjects; helping our boys and girls to experience a richer, more well-rounded education.
My Project
With the right tools in hand, my students will be able to unleash their creativity! The foam sheets are perfect for printmaking, stamping, masks, and collagraphs. When attached to handles and dipped in India ink, the possibilities for creative expression through the pen nibs are endless.
I want my students to open their imagination and express themselves creatively.
The chosen materials will help them achieve just that so they may experience a sense of accomplishment and take ownership of their learning in the visual arts. These materials will be added to their repertoire of media to grow and develop their self-expression.
