Creativity Takes Flight at the Red Hawk Library

My Project

Our high school library is an energetic, welcoming space that supports over 1700 students from four grade levels. We are one of the most diverse high schools in CT. Every day, students come in to research, read, create, and connect — whether they’re looking for their next favorite book, working on a class project, or participating in one of our many student-centered games and activities. Trivia games are the most popular!

My goal is to make our library not just a place to study or find books, but a true hub of creativity, curiosity, collaborative learning, and school spirit — and this machine will help us do exactly that.

To support student creativity and amplify our library’s learning environment, I’m requesting the AccuCut MARK 5 Die-Cutting Machine and starter die sets. Engaging displays draw students into books, contests, and reading challenges, which promote literacy and lifelong learning. This tool will allow us to create reusable letters, shapes, bookmarks, and decorations for interactive displays, student activities, and cross-curricular projects. Students are thrilled to see their creativity displayed proudly in our library every day.
