This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have 22 little learners this year that I am enjoying every day with! My students are always eager to participate in any STEM challenge or activity that I expose them to, whether it be coding robots or fun STEM-based games or activities. I know they will really appreciate an opportunity to use their logical thinking skills to work with other students in these interactive, fun games.

The STEM items I’ve added to my cart will provide hands-on activity that is great for developing attention span, creativity, imagination, and exploration in engineering and science.

Students will learn to create 2D/3D shapes and structures with endless amounts of fun and discovery. The build-a-bouquet craft kit allows kids to build, match, sort, and mix pieces to create different flowers at will, fostering a deeper understanding of plants. Many of the STEM products I’ve chosen will help develop their imagination, creativity, and concentration, while also improving hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills which is so important in kindergarten. The math games help explain base-ten concepts, addition and subtraction, place value and develop number sense!

The laminator and laminating sheets will help me preserve center materials and make them durable for my five-year-old students.
