Help me give my students more informational books for our classroom library, a rolling whiteboard to make our centers more accessible, headphones for their computers, a bookshelf to display the featured books of the month, and daily supplies!
Promoting more centered based reading activities with my students is something that I'm working towards mastering in my teaching practice. I feel as if building centers will help build student responsibility and independency. It also helps with staying organized and prepared. My goals for this project is to gather the materials, such as the whiteboard and classroom supplies needed to successfully run student centers in my classroom. I'm trying to promote reading more informational text and focusing on important historical figures throughout the school year. I am gathering more texts focusing on famous people and getting more material to keep centers more organized while promoting the love of reading to my students. They make every day so special with their willingness to learn and their eagerness when it comes to our read aloud. It's such a nice feeling watching my class prosper into their own persons and have them take action for their own learning.
