Help me give my students a printer, calipers, and pencils to create and sketch their own designs, make measurements up to a thousandth of an inch, print in color, and have an amazing learning experience!
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Garris's classroom raised $515

My Project
Middle schoolers love hands-on experiences, and, even more, they love to design new things! The materials requested will allow students to create, measure (up to a 1000th of an inch!), print in color, and display their work!
Students are learning how to use the design process while they colaborate in their design teams to create designs that will solve problems, typically for disabled children.
These tools are necessary so the students can all participate and be engaged in this process. The nice pencils are necessary for sketching the designs. The students use isometric and multiview sketches to communicate their designs accurately.
The dial calipers are used to accurately and precisely measure their designs, and the colored printer will allow them to display their designs with more eye-catching detail.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
