This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My school and school district have gone through a lot of struggles this year, which means I was not given the money to buy new art materials or replenish old ones. The materials I am requesting are things that I am close to running out of, or have already run out of completely. Black paper is needed for certain future projects like bubble painting, and for mounting students' work during the art shows happening later in the year. Paint, crayons, glue sticks, and paper are all things that I am running low on and are needed for almost every project.

My students are wonderful.

They are active in the art room, always adding their own ideas and wanting to experiment with different materials. They get discouraged and uninterested when I have to tell them "this is all I have" or "I haven't had a chance to buy more yet." With the donations of these materials, I won't have to say that to them, and the students will be so excited to work on their projects. They deserve to express their creativity and show off their artwork to friends and family. Thank you for helping us make art so special!
