Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As the end of the year approaches, I hope to do culminating group projects where students will work together to educate others about a social or environmental cause that is important to them. With the Macbook, students will use iMovie to create their own short 10 minute film that discusses their cause, what others need to know about it, why it matters and how everyone can play a role in helping. They will come up with taglines to support their cause and using the MacBook, in combination with the Cricut that has already been purchased for the classroom, students will create badges/stickers that they can share throughout the school, spreading their message to others.

This laptop will bring creative opportunities into the classroom and allow them to enhance their technology skills.

Several social causes that students are discussing are recycling, gender equality, racism, sustainability, cyber bullying, climate change vaping, pollution, and animal cruelty.
