This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is a high poverty school in the midst of apartments and single-family homes. Over fifty percent of the students are from low-income homes and most receive free or reduced-price lunch.
More than half of the students come from second language homes and others have special educational needs.
More than ever, students need different tools to learn what is required of them during distance learning. I want to provide my students with all the tools they need to succeed because I know they are smart and capable!
My Project
Help me bring art to life for my students during distance learning. Students need something exciting to look forward to during the hours the spend online for distance learning. Museums are closed, field trips are not possible, and yet students need a creative outlet.
Helping to purchase this Teachers Pay Teachers gift card, you will provide my students with an opportunity to view art slides and lessons created by talented art teachers.
Students will learn about the elements of art, famous artists, and how to create beautiful masterpieces. We know that every child is an artist!
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
