Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students love hands-on activities and can be very creative when given the opportunity. As their teacher, I strive to create as many learning opportunities for each child to express themselves through exploration, collaboration and communication.
In our classroom, we have diverse learning needs, we move around and manipulate hands-on materials daily during math learning centers.
My students need access to materials that will allow them to demonstrate and show understanding in many different ways: building toys, creating 3D objects, and utilizing different types of counters and cubes for counting learning games. Learning centers are a big part of our day; that includes individualized lesson on iPads in which headphones are needed. Students need access to STEM materials to utilize for demonstrating various math stories and counting activities.
By donating to my project, you will be helping my students to increase 21st Century skills, student engagement, collaboration, and achievement, but also prepare students to become lifelong learners.
