Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a school social worker at a middle school in the South Bronx. These creative tools will be used during classroom activities, social emotional learning, mindful Monday, individualized counseling, and students will have the ability to use these markers and pencils during their leisure time at recess. I have noticed students are more engaged in their learning when there is a creative aspect in the lesson.
Implementing more creativity into lesson planning can help my students maintain focus during the classroom activity, creating a positive learning environment.
In addition, these new creative tools will help my students build new found creativity and continue their creative journeys.
