Creativity for Success

Help me give my students a variety of building materials that inspire learning and creativity. The classroom weaving loom, Kaplan dough, and kinetic sand will inspire creative problem solving and increase fine motor building skills.

My Students

My students are a playful, creative, and thoughtful group of 3-5-year-olds with a variety of learning abilities. Coming from diverse backgrounds, my class includes a mixture of both typically developing students and exceptional students.

Learning through play is imperative for young children, and keeping play exciting, interesting and fun is the best way to achieve this!

My Project

Much like all 3-5-year-olds, my students are learning through every experience they have. Exploring is the best way of learning!

These materials will increase the availability of unique learning opportunities and experiences that my students are able to access.

Both building blocks and sensory materials such as moldable dough and kinetic sand provide a huge variety of options for learning and exploring. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, many of my students have relied solely on experiences in the classroom as their way to discover and experience new things. Because of this, I want to always have a rotation of new and exciting materials for students to explore so that my classroom can be as effective as possible in facilitating exploration and learning.
