Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students have all been identified as highly gifted. These children have special needs and require a differentiated instructional program to provide them with a challenging and rigorous academic setting. My students are inquisitive and thoughtful. They love to learn! It is important to bring in as many supplemental materials as possible to stimulate their minds and encourage their exploration of new concepts.
As a teacher, it is my job to meet the unique needs of my students by helping them to build on all aspects of learning including exploring their artistic potential .
Benjamin Franklin said it best, “Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I will learn.” My students will build on their artistic ability while having fun. This will enable the children to go beyond the core standards.
My Project
I integrate art into my curriculum as much as possible. My students place a tremendous amount of focus on academics. Using artistic techniques will help to relieve some of their stress. There are many lessons that can be taught in conjunction to art. My students need Mosaiz Fabric Markers to draw on different mediums, which will support their creativity, increase their focus and make interesting projects while they learn..
With many different opportunities and encouragement, these bright children have the potential to become tomorrow's leaders.
The calming strategies and techniques these students learn today will help them to solve problems calmly in the future. Thank you for your consideration.
