Help me give my students art supplies that will allow them to take their art projects to the next level. Give them the opportunity to use quality supplies that don’t break down over time and yield successful results.
My students come from a variety of backgrounds and cultures and many do not speak very much English, if any at all. Often times they are stuck on a computer to learn, because they have no one in the class who can communicate with them.
Art allows my English Language Learners to communicate their thoughts and emotions, to others in the classroom without any language barriers in the way.
There is a sense of unity within the art room that all the students share. They are learning new skills together, and each brings their own unique "voice" to the group.
My Project
These materials will allow students of all ages to have more success and less frustration when creating their artwork. Supplies that hold up over time, for little beginners to more experienced 6th graders, make all the difference. My students are from low socioeconomic backgrounds and do not have the means to buy these supplies on their own. My classroom may be the one time they are able to use good quality supplies and see their talents taken to the next level, by using the proper tool for the right job. Supplies that hold up for a variety of skill levels and for years to come, are a must in the creative process!
