Help me give my students a chance to express themselves through art. By having these supplies they will be able to let their imagination go wild and definitely be unique and proud of their creations.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
This school year has been like no other. Although I met my students virtually, I feel more connected to them than ever. We have built a small community and look forward to seeing each other daily. They are very enthusiastic and want to participate and share out. It is always rewarding to see how they want the spotlight on zoom to get everyone’s attention and to share their pictures and their writing. Virtual learning has been a challenge for some students but they show interest in our daily class discussions, assignments and activities.
My Project
Learning virtually has been a challenge and for some, art supplies are non existent at home. Not all students possess the supplies needed to make art. Once all students have these materials, we will be able to create and explore various artists and their types of art. Students will express and show their creativity in various ways. My students possess various strengths and abilities so it would be amazing to see their great masterpieces and a new way to express themselves through art. There will also have hands on projects and it will be a lot better than only looking at a screen.
