Welcome to our creative classroom! 2nd graders enjoy being creative and showing their individualism. In our class, we are always using construction paper to create collages in social studies, literacy and social emotional lessons. My students become experts in creating their collages with only construction paper, scissors and glue sticks. Popsicle sticks and tape are used to display student work on the bulletin boards and on the closets or walls of the classroom.
Multicultural paper is essential so my students can accurately represent themselves.
Having construction paper in various skin tones will make my students more comfortable in representing themselves in various art projects.
All this creativity will make my students hungry! Healthy snacks like goldfish, rice krispie treats, and cookies will provide my students with the energy they need to continue learning throughout the day. Disposable cups will be used to get a drink from the water fountain. These cups will make my students feel more comfortable drinking from the water fountain.
