Creativity and Learner Success Through the Use of Technology
My students need an iPad to add to their technology center as well as a writing and drawing tool to help with geometry, science and social studies; and printer ink for classwork.
The students in my classroom are Specific Learning Disabled and Emotionally Behaviorally Disturbed (ESE). The school they attend is located in a low-socio-economic area. Thus, the school is not sufficiently equipped with working up to date computers. The computers within the school run extremely slow or do not work at all. Two of the donated computers are no longer working! Only one of the students in my class has a computer in the home. So they fight to share previously donated computers.
My students desire to use technology in the classroom.

My Project
The materials requested will aid students in completing classwork, research projects and other fun activities My students have behavior challenges and social skills deficits. They curb negative behavior when computer time is given as a reward.
Students in my classroom enjoy using technology to aid them in learning new skills and practicing previous skills they have been taught.
They enjoy creating projects and reports to showcase what they have been doing in class. However, the majority of students do not have technology in the home and they fight to use computers and iPads in the classroom. We are a technology magnet school, yet the school system lacks funding to update all of the substandard computers in the school and supply students with laptops to go home.
The students are excited when given access to use technology and the ability to surf the super information highway to do research , complete projects , play educational games, or complete class work.
