Help me give my students tools to help them with reading and writing using journals and practice cards.
The Cricut and laminator will help with the creativity the students can come up with to add to our classroom.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our school's mission is both W.A.V.E. (Written and Verbal Evidence) as well as Words Matter. Our focus is to improve reading and writing by incorporating vocabulary words, prefixes, suffixes, roots, etc... Items in my wishlist such as the vocabulary journals and practice cards will help my self-contained classes grow in this area.
Other items on my wishlist, such as the laminating machine and the Cricut will help create visuals for my students within the classroom.
My students tend to be more visual learners and enjoy when things they like are seen throughout the classroom. The cricut will help me make materials and the laminator will help me preserve them.
I strive to create the most welcoming and calming classroom environment for my students while providing them with various opportunities for learning.
