My Students
I teach a Third grade class in a school with a focus on performing arts. Our school is located in a high poverty, urban area where more than 90% of the students qualify for free or reduced price lunch.
Despite the many challenges my students face on a daily basis, they arrive each day excited and eager to learn.
It is my goal to incorporate STEM activities in my classroom to create opportunities and experiences my students might not otherwise have.
My Project
As technology races toward the future, our students must learn today in order to be ready for tomorrow. With the use of the Cubelets robot blocks my students will have the opportunity to practice important 21st-Century Learning Skills (Creativity, Communication, Collaboration, and Critical thinking) at an early age.
We are requesting Cubelets robot blocks which will provide students with play-driven learning opportunities by designing and engineering complex systems.
There’s no wrong way to build with Cubelets. They can be combined to build thousands of thought-provoking robots accomplishing innumerable tasks. They’re proven to engage different types of learners and to foster confidence, imagination, and a love of learning that will help prepare children for an increasingly complex world. Students do not need wiring or coding experience to connect these cubes together! They only need their creativity and imagination.
