My students need basic drawing supplies of glue, scissors and paper to let their creativity flow in class. Also, Post It's are a very important tool when children are reading and writing.

My Students
Our students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with over 60% of our students receiving free lunch. Our school is also one of the most ethnically diverse schools in Brooklyn. Students speak a multitude of languages including English, Spanish, Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, Mandarin, Russian,Uzbek and Arabic. As diverse as our students are economically and culturally, they are diverse in their academics.
Our students are 30 fourth graders in a Title 1 school in Brooklyn, New York.
Our students are English Language Learners. Some of them have various disabilities, such as Speech and Language, Learning Disabilities, and Autism . In order to meet their learning needs and give them the best educational experiences possible and a place to call home. It is an integrated co-teaching classroom, where students with disabilities are mainstreamed with general education students. We also have 2 bilingual students in our room.
Our classroom this year is decorated in bright colors like pink, neon green, purple and blue. We like to keep the classroom bright and vivid colors. I feel children with special needs learn best when you have a warm and welcoming classroom. We are asking for necessary supplies to get the students started.
My Project
The products that I have selected will help my students by allowing them to be creative in all subject areas.
Children in my classroom need to track their thinking on a daily basis, so the usage of Post It's is a must.
Children are also required to create projects based on units of study in all subject areas. The supplies that were mentioned above will benefit each and every child giving them all the same opportunity.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
