My Students
I have the amazing opportunity to teach first graders. My students have special gifts and talents. They are smart, dedicated, funny, and talented. They teach me skills and abilities every day. What they teach me most is how to push through and not give up no matter what the difficulties are that you face.
I work at a Title I charter school that is dedicated to teaching students who are on the autism spectrum, as well as those who have ADHD and other learning and behavior difficulties.
No matter the difficulties that they face, they come to school every day with a smile on their faces. They are ready and excited to learn! Learning can be a challenge at times for my students, however, they never give up and keep pushing through.
Just as my students never give up, they teach me to not give up as well. I want to give my students the best learning environment possible. A place where technology, information, and experience is abundant and allows them to follow their dreams and learn all that is out there. They want to succeed, and I want them to succeed. Thank you for helping us do so!
My Project
There are so many creative and fun activities and ideas out there for our students! I would like to implement more creative and fun projects for my students to enjoy with math, social studies, and science curriculum. I am hoping to find and create fun learning experiences for them where they can find a deeper love and understanding for the concepts that we are learning. They have especially been enjoying our science and social studies lessons. By getting more materials and resources, I will be able to create more hands on lessons and experiences for our first graders! Thank you for considering helping my class! We really appreciate it!
