My Students
My students have a range of academic, social, cognitive, and emotional functioning. They require specialized instruction and accommodations in order to access the curriculum. Despite these classifying descriptors, they are some of the most determined, charismatic, enthusiastic, and caring young people. They deserve every chance they can get. Our school has a very diverse population. We have students that come from two-parent homes, while others are in foster care or group homes. We have students whose parents are financially stable while others live in government-subsidized housing. We aim to create a safe haven for all of our students and help them succeed.
My Project
This project is to help students with mild-moderate disabilities express their creativity in appropriate ways. The project will provide them with materials and tools that will help them see success in different ways. The art supplies will let them express themselves. The Cricut Maker 3 and related supplies will allow them to develop well-designed projects and show their strengths.
These students need fidgets to help them appropriately cope in the classroom setting.
All of these fidgets will help students who have difficulty focusing
Both of these toolsets will help students with mild to moderate disabilities increase their social and emotional skills and develop into lifelong learners.
