Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My kindergarten students are creative, thoughtful and excited to be in the classroom! They love hands-on experience and love talking to one another to problem solve. They come to school and tackle the challenges they are faced with. They are incredible.
My Project
This classroom rug allows students to have the personal space that they need, while ensuring learning is happening. Students are able to sit on their own color dot to give them the freedom to learn within our wonderful classroom. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them. My students are noticeably more engaged on the rug, and more excited to learn when they have the option to choose their color dot. This rug would ensure meaningful classroom discussions throughout the school year. My kindergartens would be lucky to have this rug!
