Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
For my students, being in my classroom is like their home away from home. They feel inspired, determined, and always ready for a new and engaging challenge. My students are special to me because they come to school daily and give one hundred percent. Even though some may not have the best penmanship or the greatest reading ability, they still put forth maximum effort in order to succeed. These students are primarily from homes where English is a second language so they have to overcome that language barrier.
My students are not as fortunate as others.
Sometimes they come to school without the necessary materials and supplies needed to begin working because they cannot afford to purchase these things. My school demographic population is comprised of 97.6% Hispanic students, and 98.8% of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch.
For this project my focus is my Resource classroom, this class is composed of six and seventh grade students with varying exceptionalities. They are creative hands-on learners and requires modification and accommodation to succeed in the classroom.
My Project
Anything dealing with technology and hands-on learning get my students fired up and ready to learn. These resources are not available to them at home and will improve their school lives by keeping them engage and focus on learning.
The 3Doodler set will make an enormous impact on my students incorporating STEM within the classroom.
My students are very creative learners and love all hands-on activities.
Receiving the 3Doodler set will help with their social emotional development and learning. This will brighten up their lives and get them even more excited about being in the classroom and expressing their creative side.
