This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My 23 students love to write but writing gets boring. To inspire them to write, I want to introduce dry erase markers in rainbow colors to write their ideas on dry erase boards. My biggest challenge is keeping them inspired. Their final writing products can be written in the composition notebooks.
I have 23 bright, creative inner city students.
Our school is 100% free lunch. We do not get additional funding at the beginning of each year. The district does not allot us a budget for purchasing classroom materials. We are granted $1 per student each school year. My students deserve better. They deserve quality materials and exciting lessons.
My Project
My students will brainstorm creative ideas using the dry erase markers. If they make a mistake they can easily erase and write in a new idea. They composition notebooks will be their special place for their final drafts. We will share these with their parents on Report Card Conference evening.
You are the reason I teach.
You are the way I provide my students with materials they deserve. Your donating to this project is invaluable. Thank you so much for supporting an inner city school.
