Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are natural builders, thinkers, and creators. They light up when given the chance to design, test, and improve their ideas—especially when learning feels like real-world problem-solving. This project will give them that opportunity and more.
Each kit promotes critical thinking, teamwork, and perseverance; These resources will help students build not just projects—but confidence, curiosity, and problem-solving skills that last far beyond the classroom.
With the Basswood Bridge Building Kit, students will apply physics and math to design structures and test their strength. The Mousetrap Car Kit brings motion and energy concepts to life as they build and race their own vehicles. The Earthquake Simulation Kit challenges students to design buildings that can withstand seismic forces—an unforgettable way to learn about engineering and earth science. Finally, the acrylic paint sets let them express creativity by decorating their projects, blending art with science and design.
