My Students
Our exceptional children pre-k students are amazing! They are busybodies, curious and eager to learn everyday. They are learning together to navigate life in a way that works best for them
Even though their first year of school looked different, they continue to be positive and show a love for learning.
Every day, Mrs. Brandon, our EC pre-k teacher, strives to meet her students' needs in any way that she can. Her students have mild to moderate disabilities that affect their cognitive learning, social skills, communication skills, and fine motor skills. They learn best through hands-on learning experiences.
My Project
Our pre-k learners thrive on hands-on learning. Our students need to have materials that they can use to explore and manipulate in order to help them learn and grow. These materials will also help with their academic and developmental success and get them prepared for kindergarten. Materials needed include sorting activities, reading readiness activities, fine motor activities, and more. Giving them these resources encourages them to make choices to use materials to help foster their learning and imagination. They also will have an opportunity to develop their fine motor skills that will be necessary as they grow.
