This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My 2nd graders are lucky enough to have a "soft start" each morning. As students who need it are eating breakfast, the other students get to work on their cooperative learning skills. One of the most popular items has been the Playmobil.

I have seen my students learn to work together, be creative and play well which each other because of this time.

They learn to communicate with each other and problem solve through play. I have had significantly fewer explosive behaviors as students get to know each other in a more relaxed way. Playmobil helps my students use their creativity to relate to each other and find common ground.
