This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Everybody loves to get a birthday card! This year I want my students to design birthday cards to deliver to teachers and staff at our school on their birthday month. By learning painting techniques and layout designs, my students will be able to explore their creative talents while practicing fundamental skills. They will create cards, write out the greeting and deliver them to teachers and staff in our school. This will enable my students to practice their communication skills (writing letters and interacting with teachers), vocational skills (designing cards) and fine-motor skills (cutting, pasting, painting).

This project provides the opportunity for my students to improve their self-confidence and practice real-life skills in a safe and supportive environment.

Having access to materials to make greeting cards will make a difference in my students' learning because it will provide meaningful opportunities and will help make them feel like they are making a difference in our school community. We love to put smiles on people's faces!
