This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our kindergarten classroom, creativity is more than just colorful drawings—it's how students express themselves, process emotions, and connect with the world around them. I’m requesting a Childcraft Art Easel Center with Dry Erase Panels to provide my students with a dedicated space to explore their imaginations, work collaboratively, and embrace the joy of artistic expression.

Art is a powerful tool for young children.

It supports fine motor development, encourages problem-solving, and nurtures confidence. Most importantly, it gives every child a voice—especially those who may not yet have the words to express their thoughts or feelings. With this easel, students will have daily opportunities to paint, draw, and create side-by-side, practicing important social-emotional skills like turn-taking, collaboration, and respectful sharing of space and materials.

This two-person easel allows for both independent creativity and shared experiences. Whether they’re drawing scenes from a story, painting how they feel, or simply experimenting with colors, my students will be engaging in meaningful, hands-on learning.

Our current art area is limited, and having this new easel center will transform how we approach art in our classroom. It will give students a sense of importance and pride, showing them that their creativity matters. By supporting this project, you’re helping young learners build confidence, develop self-expression, and discover the joy of creating something uniquely their own.
